Valerie Wangnet is a Sydney-based freelance writer and is studying Media/Communications and Writing. Born in Australia with an Indian-born Chinese mother and a Chilean-born German/Italian father, her greatest interests are in culture and global politics. She writes a fortnightly column for Trespass Magazine and is Editor of Macquarie University's student newspaper Grapeshot for 2011.
